    Description

This is a 7-bedroom house located just off Moorland Road in Oldfield. It is currently managed by Roman City who gave a terrible service during the tenancy. The bedrooms vary slightly and are outdated, cramped and average. There are 2 bathrooms with 2 showers.

The property has a tumble dryer and a medium-sized garden (big enough for a BBQ). The social space in very poor condition being listed as cramped, grotty and unfurnished and can only fit 3-4 of the properties 7 tenants at one time. Tenants had no problem with the neighbors who are friendly but noise aware. There is on-street parking outside the property.

Previous occupants have had major issues with damp and the minor problems with the house’s poor insulation. The closest pub, Velo Lounge is located on Moorland Road, a 1-minute walk away. Sainsbury’s and a large Co-op are a similar distance away from the property. To get up to campus tenants will have to walk 4 minutes to the Junction Road bus stop, from which it’s a 17-minute bus ride up to campus (traffic pending).

In summary, this is a poor and cramped property that is very overpriced considering its condition and location.

Pretty disappointed with this accommodation. The house was not built for 7 people, the living area was tiny as was the kitchen. Making it completely impossible for more than 2 people to cook at once. The living area was below ground making it pretty dark and grotty. To make the situation worse Roman City were completely useless. When we moved in there was no sofa, hobs didn't work, no bins, mould growing in the rooms, damp patches and it was dirty. After complaining to Roman City about all of this they were absolutely useless taking a considerable amount of time to fix the long list of problems. On the positives, the location was good - opposite coop and right by the bus stop.
