The most typical ‘can I speak to the manager please’. I would not recommend this landlord to anybody. She makes your life 10000x harder and likes to get the university involved on minor issues - fortunately they realised her pettiness. Her favourite hobby was to come round on Saturday mornings to assess the state of the house. Make sure you don’t have coke can lids on the floor otherwise she will bite your head off. When returning to the flat after Xmas we were amazed to find no curtains, she informed us she took them away as we were not opening them, consequently causing mould in the house! To add insult to injury she charged us for the cleaning fee for said curtains. Do not go near this house.

A quirky house in a decent location but dont let this fool you. Never had as many issues as we did with Julia the landlord. She demanded visiting the house pretty much every saturday morning forcing us out of bed to tell us off / shout at us for very minor issues. She does not take responsibility for the damp issue and decided to remove all curtains in the house during exam season for 'cleaning'. Not ideal having the sun shine though your window first thing every morning. Plus she even charged us for the cleaning when it was no fault of ours. This house is just not in anyway appropriate for normal students, expect to be told off like a school child if you live here. Oh and as a bonus she took away about half of our deposit (£200 odd) and im not really too sure why. By this point we couldn't be bothered to argue with her anymore and took the hit.
