Location: 15 minute walk uphill to Uni, not great, but not awful either. Will keep you fit at least. Landlord issues: Firstly, I should note that the flat comes with internet for free (no other bills though), but this CANNOT be changed if you want a faster connection, despite the fact the agency told us we would be able to. Daniel almost charged us when we tried to do it. Secondly, from the day we moved in, the TV included in the property didn't work. We reported it, and Daniel refused to believe there was any problem, convinced we just weren't turning it on properly. It remained broken the entire year. Thirdly, upon moving in the flat was in a state. Previous tenants left all sorts behind, and everything was very dirty. WE had to clean all this up, and yet at the end of the year we still had deposit taken from us for the tiniest issues, despite the fact the flat was 10x cleaner than when we moved in. Other things to note: There is no gas, but electric radiators are in every room with individual timers. Be warned, if you use these too much, the bills will be very expensive. Other than that, the water bills were cheap, and internet was included. Another thing is that the rooms range from small to absolutely huge (I was in the huge room, literally more space than I knew what to do with). All in all, if you can get past the awful landlord, the room size differences and the noise, the price isn't awful. There are certainly better places out there though.
